Top 10 Indie Launchpad Albums of 2025

There were some amazing albums released in 2025, and this is the top 10 based on several factors, the biggest being what was listened to most and what made the biggest impact. Choosing the #1 in this case was simplicity itself.

I'd never heard of the Mountain Goats before, but within a couple of tracks I knew this album was going to have a profound effect on me. I'd only reviewed the album in November, but when my steaming recaps for the year were released, it was firmly there at number 1. I've been a huge advocate for the album and introduced it to many friends and acquaintances. I've no doubt this album will live with me for a long time to come, especially seeings as I've now picked up a copy on vinyl, hallowed praise indeed.

I do want to give a special mention to Kate Nash, her album, until the Mountain Goats was by far the most listened.

Since returning in July, I’ve been immersed in an incredible wave of independent music, and it’s reminded me just how much music can move us, emotionally, mentally, and in ways that stick with you long after the first listen. Indie Launchpad has always been about celebrating that magic, and now I’m back with renewed energy and big plans. I’m excited to continue sharing new discoveries, champion amazing artists, and create a space where independent music truly connects with people.
