This is an interesting band that I hadn't heard of before. They deliver an eclectic blend of music that draws from a number of different influences. It is relatively light on tracks, with just six songs, but it has a running time of nearly 40 minutes.

The album opens with "Blue", an intriguing track that is broken down into several distinct sections, some of which could almost stand alone as separate pieces. It is quite a mish mash of sounds and styles, and on my first listen it didn't quite work for me. However, with subsequent listens, the different elements start to gel and reveal more of what the band is trying to achieve.

The next track, "Celeste", begins with an ethereal sound before a synth starts to bubble underneath. It reminds me a little of Vangelis, but more his experimental side rather than the grander, more cinematic pieces he became known for.

"Atmosphere" is where the album really starts to connect for me. It features the most amazing vocals, floating above a synth sound bed. Think angels and the heavens and you won't be far wrong. The previous two tracks were enjoyable, but this feels much more purposeful, less like experimentation and more like a fully realised piece. Around the halfway point, I thought I heard what sounded like a harp, but as the sound became more exposed, it was clear it was actually a synth pattern being repeated and layered upon, gradually taking the track somewhere else entirely.

Opening with quirky synth motifs, "Stellar" takes a little while to find its groove. Around the one minute mark, when the drums begin to kick in, the track starts to settle into itself. At around the four minute mark, it breaks again, and what follows could almost be a separate track in its own right, albeit a brief one. There are some nice throwback sounds here, reminiscent again of Tangerine Dream, but for me it never quite reaches its full potential.

Again featuring vocals is "Indigo", and I'm not entirely sure whether it is the vocals, the music, or the combination of both, but this track captures the imagination in a way many of the others don't. It is relatively simple, both musically and vocally, but I think that starkness gives it a real beauty. This is probably my favourite track on the album.

The final track is "O", which feels like an awkward cousin of the rest of the album. It shares a similar musical palette and again features vocals, but it feels like a track that is fighting against itself. Once again, there is a point where it feels like it is about to become an entirely new piece of music. I know that shouldn't bother me, but for some reason it does.

There is a lot to like here, but for me the two standout tracks are the ones I keep returning to, rather than wanting to experience the album as a complete work. This kind of music is incredibly subjective and can also depend heavily on mood, so perhaps I'm simply not connecting with it fully right now.

However, there is enough here to make me want to return to it, because sometimes albums like this need time before they truly reveal themselves.
