This is one of those albums where reviewing every track individually would almost do it a disservice. That's certainly not a reflection of the quality of the music. In many ways it feels like poetry set to music, with the lyrics carrying as much weight as the melodies.

The album opens with "Already Gone", which immediately establishes the reflective tone that runs throughout. Joseph's vocals are given just the slightest touch of reverb, enough to add warmth and texture without ever feeling overproduced. It allows the emotion in the performance to remain front and centre.

"Crazy Love" carries a distinctly 1970s singer-songwriter feel, echoing the artists mentioned earlier without ever sounding like an imitation. "Maybe" is another standout, with an uplifting quality that quietly sneaks up on you. Meanwhile, "Sarah" showcases the versatility of Joseph's voice, particularly his impressive vocal range, proving that restraint doesn't have to come at the expense of expression.

What impressed me most is the honesty running through the entire album. There's no unnecessary embellishment or attempt to overwhelm the listener. Instead, the songs rely on thoughtful writing, memorable melodies and performances that feel completely genuine. It's a reminder that sometimes less really is more.

This is an album to put on when you want to slow down, take a breath and perhaps heal a little. Music like this has a remarkable ability to calm the noise of everyday life without ever feeling sentimental. It's an album I'll certainly be returning to, not only because it's beautifully written, but because it's the kind of record that offers comfort whenever it's needed.
